HR Business Partner (f/m/d)

Leiden | 32-36h/week | as soon as possible

As HR Business Partner, you'll be a member of our global People + Culture (P+C) team, collaborating with colleagues across the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, and the US. During our ongoing company integration, you’ll play an important role in driving People + Culture initiatives, working closely with leaders and employees to enhance engagement, performance, and satisfaction. Your contributions will help shape a supportive environment where employees can thrive and reach their full potential during this transformation. This role is based in the Leiden office.

Your tasks

  • Partnering with managers and senior leadership, aligning P+C initiatives with business goals and building strong relationships, understanding challenges, and advising on policies or processes
  • Provide support to employees within your business departments, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed
  • Manage the entire employee life cycle from hiring to retiring
  • Negotiate, draft, and manage employment contracts and other key HR documents
  • Take ownership of P+C projects across various functions, aligning with the company's strategic and organizational goals
  • Continuously improve P+C processes and workflows, collaborating with the broader People + Culture team to ensure efficiency and alignment with business objectives

Your profile

  • You thrive in an evolving environment and are excited about the opportunity to shape processes, strategies, and structures within a company undergoing a merger, where flexibility and influence are key as things are still being defined
  • 5+ years of experience in an international HR department. Experience with company integrations is a big plus, but not required
  • Strong knowledge of Dutch employment laws and regulations
  • Experience working in an international environment with HR operations across multiple locations
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail while maintaining a focus on the bigger picture
  • Proactive, self-driven, and comfortable working independently, yet enjoys collaboration with teams. Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and comfortable with HR information systems (knowledge of AFAS HR and SAP is a plus)
  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English; proficiency in Polish or German is a bonus but not required
