Director Group Tax (m/w/d)
In your role as Director Group Tax you will be part of the senior management at De Gruyter Brill and responsible for the development and implementation of tax strategies and compliance in the group. The position is permanent.
Your Tasks
- Development and implementation of the global tax strategy in close cooperation with the management
- Providing tax advice and managing all relevant tax issues, particularly in the areas of income taxes, transfer pricing and indirect taxes
- Ensuring tax compliance and further developing the tax compliance system and the tax function in the Group (if necessary, setting up a team)
- Management and coordination of tax audits and cooperation with external consultants and tax authorities
- Analysing and implementing the tax implications of corporate decisions, such as M&A activities and restructurings
- Monitoring and evaluating tax law changes and their impact
Your Profile
- Completed studies in the field of economics, law or comparable with a focus on taxes
- Several years of professional experience in a comparable position in an international corporate environment or a renowned tax consulting firm
- Solid knowledge of national and international tax law and transfer pricing issues
- Initial leadership experience and the ability to motivate and develop a team desirable
- A high degree of foresight, flexibility and problem-solving skills (‘hands on’)
- Strategic thinking paired with the ability to present complex issues in an understandable way
- Confident handling of tax and ERP systems as well as common MS Office applications
- Very good knowledge of German and English as well as a communicative and open personality
