Manager Business Development (f/m/d)
We are looking for a dedicated Manager Business Development. Working closely with and reporting to the Director Business Development, you will be responsible for the analysis and reporting on business models and sales products and for briefing and training in-house departments on models and products, especially for books and digital products. This is a permanent full-time position.
Your Tasks

Conduct analysis and reporting of business models and products, in close co-operation with Controlling and the Director Business Development

Contribute to the development of new sales products and business models by providing insights on their performance

Analyze pricing and discounting structures

Research and analyze market trends and competitor activities as well as customer needs

Work closely with Sales and Marketing to develop promotional and sales strategies for business models and products

Collaborate with departments inside and outside of the commercial department to ensure efficient implementation

Lead documentation of business models and support internal presentation and training
Your Profile
-
Completed degree in Business Administration, Data Science or related field

Preferably 3+ years of experience in working in academic publishing or experience in research libraries

A solid understanding of the scholarly publishing market

Strong data analysis skills, with experience in combining datasets, building reports and providing insights. Excellent Excel skills
-
Proven organizational and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work on multiple concurrent projects

An innovative mindset with a commercial minded attitude while keeping customers’ best interests at heart.

Excellent communication skills in English, German language skills are desirable
